Engraving with etched highlights. Plate 15 of the Trophaeum Vitae Solitariae. After an engraving [TIB 7101.121] by Raphael Sadeler I (1560-1632), itself  after a drawing by Maarten de Vos (1532-1603) in the Kupferstichkabinett, Berlin. Published in Paris, rue St. Jacques, a la Ville de Cologne, first by Jacques Honervogt I (ca. 1583 – ca. 1666) in 1634. Then published, at the same address but possibly as part of other collections of anchorites, first by Gérard Jollain I (d. 1683) ca. 1654 and then by François Jollain (1641-1704) in 1688.

Note
There are close versions published by Jean Leclerc IV (PESSCA 411A) and Thomas de Leu. But these versions invert the direction of the Honervogt composition.
