- Note
- According to an autograph inscription on the back of the painting, this work was produced by J.M. Habiyú in the Guaraní Jesuit Reduction of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción de Itapúa (today city of Posadas, Province of Misiones, Argentina) in the year 1618. Doubts have been raised about this date, though, given the late lettering style of the inscription and the depiction of the Sacred Heart of Mary, whose feast was celebrated for the first time in 1648.
