Note
There are three engravings of this subject. They are by Pieter Cool, Jacques Granthomme, and Thomas de Leu. The Granthomme lacks the harpy (?) on the lectern of the painting (while the Cool and de Leu have it). The de Leu has a design on the cover of the book behind the saint which accounts for the wall design found there in the painting. No such design can be found in the Granthomme or the Cool. The Cool engraving also lacks the ornamental frame found on the cabinet door panel. It is entirely possible that all four paintings in this series derive from the de Leu engraving. Yet, we have not seen the other three engravings by de Leu.
