Note
In the last quarter of the 16th century, same-direction copies of 4092A were used in Madrid by Francisco Sánchez, Guillermo Drouy, and Pedro Várez de Castro as their respective printers' marks (cf. Marques de Impressors, Moto: Vigilate). Any one of these copies —or, indeed, the Gutiérrez original 4092A itself— could have served as the direct sources of the Martínez ornament.
