Medium: Engraving. After a design by Abraham Bloemaert (1559-1656). Plate 1/26 (plus title plate) of the Sacra eremis ascetarum, the first of two series comprising the Sylva Anachoretica Aegypti et Palestinae. Published by the artist in Amsterdam in 1612 and by Hendrick Aerts in Antwerp in 1619.
