Artist
Crépy Workshop (1660-1796). Founded by Jean Crépy (born ca. 1660, ceased activity in 1731, associated to several addresses, one being rue St Jacques a St Pierre). He had two sons: Étienne Louis (ca. 1706 – after 1759; specialized in maps since 1731; Rue St Jacques, Paroisse Saint-Séverin, Paris) and Louis (active 1727- 1754 after; Rue St Jacques à Saint-Pierre près de la rue de la Parcheminerie). Son of the latter was Jean Baptiste (fl. 1753-1790; d. 1796; L'Image Saint Pierre, rue St. Jacques, Paris). Thus, it was probably the latter that published this engraving.
