The Colegio de la Compañia de Jesús of Potosí —including its chapel of the Cofradía de Nuestra Señora de Loreto y San Salvador de los Naturales— was destroyed after the expulsion of the Jesuits in 1767. The information given above is taken from the contract signed for the creation of the altarpiece housing the tabernacle described here. This contract is kept at the Archivo de la Casa de Moneda (Potosí, Bolivia), where it was assigned shelfmark Escritos Notariales 129, fol. 421.
